April
This month brings the arrival of Atlantic mackeral off the Delaware coast. The action is fast and furious - two, three, sometimes even four or five at a time until you have enough fish for the entire season ahead. And the fish are in shore close - a short run from our slip at Indion River Inlet.

May & June
When the mackeral move north, there's time to catch your breath - just barely. For right on their heels are the big bluefish and weakfish or "sea trout" as they are called locally. Bottom or wreck fishing for sea bass and tautog is also very good at this time of the year. May and June is the start of out offshore shark fishing. Set up a chum slick off the stern of the Keely Ann and position yourself in the fighting chair to do battle with a several hundred pound tiger, dusty, blue, hammerhead or mako shark. This is the time to troll or chum for the big "slammer" blue fish. For a real thrill and to test your skill, try chumming for blues on light tackle spinning gear.

Mid June - November
We troll and chunk for bluefin and yellowfin tuna.

July & August
This is literally smorgasbord time on the Keely Ann. An offshore run to the blue waters of the various canyons puts your lures in front of white marlin, big-eyed tuna, yellowfin tuna, albacore, dolphin, wahoo or giant blue marlin. Inshore fishing for bluefish, false albacore, bonita, trout and flounder is also available. August is the start of giany sand tiger shark fishing. Brown shark and dustys are available at this time too.

September & October
Fall offers some of the finest fishing of the year to anglers on the Keely Ann. The offshore action with tuna and marlin can be spectacular. Inshore there are bluefish, weakfish, rockfish and flounder. Wreck fishing for sea bass and tautog is very good due to less fishing pressure. Onshore there are fewer tourist, lower motel rates and a more leisurely pace.

November & December
Sea bass, rockfish and tautog - lobster of the finfish world. On the charter boat Keely Ann we call them November's fish-of-the-month. A gormet delicacy, an angling challenge and with many in the five to ten pound range, battlers on hook and line.
